Each year, our French twin town of Thiers hosts the Thiers ville haute en couleurs festival in which around 150 banners are displayed. They are painted by various artists and community groups, who are separated into three age categories: adults, adolescents and children. On Thursday 23rd April from 3.30pm in the Town Hall we will be showcasing the hard work of our local schools in the preparation of banners to be displayed throughout the summer in Thiers. Every year a number of local schools take part in creating and painting their own individual banner on a given topic.
