Local author Emma Woodhouse has recently written a book about a murder that happened in Bridgnorth on 4th December 1848. It is a fictional account but is based on true facts. Emma conducted a great deal of research before writing it, visiting both the archives in London and Shrewsbury and reviewing the censuses. We had a wonderful wine tasting evening last Thursday. We were treated to an excellent selection of white and red wines from both France and Germany, finishing with a surprisingly good sweet wine from the Mosel in Germany. The selection was varied and it was interesting to listen to people's differing views on their favourite wines.
