June 2023 : Celebrations at the Schrobenhausen Festival

This year was the turn of Schrobenhausen to host the annual Twinning festival.

It was made extra special as 2023 marks 30 years of twinning friendship

between Bridgnorth and our Bavarian friends.

The Bridgnorth Twinners spent an enjoyable weekend with fellow French and

German Twinners touring the local area, and of course sampling the local

cuisine! A highlight of the trip was Schrannenfest – an annual festival with local

live music, serving German beer in enormous beer steins (tankards).

The weekend was made all the more fabulous thanks to the generous hosts

who made a huge effort to organise activities and make everyone feel very

welcome.

Next year will be the turn of Thiers to host. We look forward to making more

fond memories.
