What an amazing day we had promoting Twinning to the wider Bridgnorth community whilst also raising funds. Thank you to all those members who contributed prizes and also donated their time. The weather was amazing, the stall looked great and we made a tidy profit too! As usual I failed to remember to take photos... thanks Ralph! Each year, our French twin town of Thiers hosts the Thiers ville haute en couleurs festival in which around 150 banners are displayed. They are painted by various artists and community groups, who are separated into three age categories: adults, adolescents and children. On Thursday 23rd April from 3.30pm in the Town Hall we will be showcasing the hard work of our local schools in the preparation of banners to be displayed throughout the summer in Thiers. Every year a number of local schools take part in creating and painting their own individual banner on a given topic.
